S Signal2 Card Catalog

About & Filing Policy

Signal2 is a free, openly accessible web directory cataloguing sites across 22 subject districts. The directory is organised in the manner of a printed gazetteer — a systematic, surveyed record of online destinations grouped by subject and available for public consultation without charge.

Each district in Signal2 covers a distinct field: from Automotive Trade and Transport to Voyages, Accommodation and Tour Operators. Within each district, entries are listed in the order they were reviewed and added to the record. There is no ranking or weighting — every confirmed listing appears on equal footing alongside its neighbours.

Entries are submitted by site operators through the Add a Site form. Each submission is reviewed before being added to the index. The review process checks that the submitted address resolves correctly and that the site belongs to the stated category; it does not assess quality, reliability, or any other characteristic of the listed site.

Signal2 does not charge for basic listings. Site owners are welcome to submit a single entry per domain at no cost. The directory operates as an open reference, and listed sites carry no endorsement from Signal2 or its operators.

The Signal2 index currently holds 835 confirmed entries spread across 22 districts, with new submissions reviewed and added on a rolling basis. Visitors who cannot find what they are looking for in a specialist district are encouraged to browse General Entries and Miscellany, which holds unclassified and cross-category entries.
